The Jazzmouth Poetry & Jazz Festival is a one-of-a-kind, four-day festival celebrating poetry and jazz and the relationship between them. It is an exciting, all-inclusive community festival with events ranging from films to workshops, from musical performances to poetry readings and even both at once! Jazzmouth features young poets and local artists as well as legendary national acts such as David Amram, Ed Sanders, Charles Simic, Andrei Codrescu, Billy Collins, Bob Dorough, Mose Allison, Sheila Jordan, Ray Manzarek, and Michael McClure.

This year marks the seventh anniversary of Jazzmouth. While the 2012 lineup is still being finalized, now is a great time to get involved.

Jazzmouth, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to the education, celebration and craft of spoken word and improvised music.

The organization serves the Seacoast community throughout the year by fostering the creativity, innovation and collaboration between its artists and businesses through ongoing events such as the monthly “Beat Night at the Press Room,” workshops, fundraisers, and charitable performances.
